Kalniz, Iorio & Reardon clients reach settlement in federal court sexual harassment lawsuit

Attorneys Fil Iorio and Ted Stechschulte represented a teacher and a teacher's assistant in a federal lawsuit asserting claims of sexual harassment in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Michigan Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.  The firm worked closely with attorneys for the United States Department of Justice which filed the initial lawsuit on behalf of the United States in the federal district court for the Western District of Michigan.  On behalf of our clients, Kalniz, Iorio & Reardon filed a Complaint in Intervention in federal district court seeking monetary damages and relief from the alleged conduct.  The parties reached a mutually satisfactory agreement as was reported by the Detroit News and Holland Sentinel:
