Fil Iorio is an experienced litigator who effectively advocates on behalf of professional employees, educators, working persons, criminal defendants, the injured and disabled and labor organizations. He has over twenty years’ experience practicing in both federal and state courts throughout Michigan. As a trial attorney, he works tirelessly for his clients and has the skill and confidence to manage cases where clients have the most on the line. Fil possesses extensive knowledge of criminal defense, civil rights, employee rights, labor law and personal injury law. Recognizing that every case that he takes is important to his clients, Fil applies a common sense approach to his client’s legal problems and is focused on achieving the just and right outcome.
Fil also has an appellate practice and has represented clients with cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit.

Fil began his legal career practicing at a law firm in Chicago where he represented Fortune 500 companies involved with complex antitrust litigation cases. Although born in Ohio, he migrated north to attend the University of Michigan Law School and now bases his practice out of the firm’s Grand Rapids, Michigan office. He enjoys spending time outdoors, boating and skiing with his family and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines.
